Evidence and physics-based collision reconstruction to determine speeds, trajectories, and causation. Analysis can be completed for a variety of vehicles such as passenger cars, tractor trailer trucks and farm equipment, bicycles, and pedestrians.
Evaluation of slip, trip, and fall incidents (walkway safety). Applying fundamental laws of physics and research on fall biomechanics to determine whether hazardous conditions existed.
Forensic engineering support for criminal cases involving vehicular homicide, hit-and-run, DUI crashes, and other incidents requiring technical reconstruction.
Analysis of product failures, design defects, and manufacturing defects in the context of personal injury and wrongful death litigation.
Dr. Kristen E. Lipscomb has over 12 years experience in legal consulting, providing expert witness services in the areas of injury biomechanics, collision reconstruction (motor vehicle, bicycle, pedestrian), slip, trip and fall reconstruction (premises liability), products liability, and industrial accidents. Dr. Lipscomb earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Davis. She is a Fully Accredited Traffic Accident Reconstructionist (ACTAR #2896). Dr. Lipscomb also has additional training in photography, photogrammetry, video analysis, collision reconstruction, and shooting incident reconstruction.
